Local Government reorganisation – Deadline extended to August 31st!

Under the new Local Government Reorganisation, District and County Councils will be abolished and replaced with 3 or 4 new Unitary Councils running all the services for Devon from 2028. 

You now have a chance to say what this looks like….

The current reorganisation will shape how local services are delivered for the next 100 years. Fewer councils operating over larger areas each serving up to half a million people. 

It’s happening fast. There are several difference options being proposed for how Devon’s new local authorities will look: how much of Devon each will have to cover , how they will operate and how services will be protected and improved. 

North Devon Council is asking for as many residents as possible to take part in their consultation survey which will help them make their case for the best solution for North Devon and its people. The consultation is open now and closes on 11 August – because this is all happening fast.

All registered electors in the Parish are invited to attend.

Any elector registered in the Parish may ask a question or raise any matters relating to the Parish.

All Electors may vote on any resolutions proposed and the Council will take note of those decisions.
