26/07/55 County Councillor Report

The County Cllr’s report had been circulated.

26/07/56 District Councillor Report

The District Cllr spoke about the LGR announcement, 4 Unitaries are planned Plymouth approximately 300 thousand population, Torbay and Exeter 200-250 thousand and the other to be known as the coastal and rural with about 450 thousand. Ward boundaries are due to be published in the next 4 weeks.

A judicial review is anticipated. There may be more information at the NDC meeting at Brynsworthy on 30^th July

Action Point: book attendance for Cllr Crowther and the Clerk

26/07/60 To consider an update on response to correspondence sent to NDDC re Crown

Estates. Status of Chivenor Cross development: Community Hub and road surfacing. The Council has received a response from NDC following the FOI request.

Members expressed concern that we were not advised as a matter of courtesy, as the building is adjacent to a number of properties, it is not connected to the grid and a generator is running 24 hours a day. It is understood a 15m high wind turbine and solar panels are planned.

There are further concerns that other applications have been received, which the council has not been made aware of. A response will be drafted and circulated to members before submitting to NDC.
